Peel Island Getaway

Come join UQ Sail for one last breath of freedom before exams with a sneaky weekend getaway at a little island paradise called Peel. With pristine beaches and secluded bays only accessible to a select few amazing people, Like you!

⛵⛵ There is no ferry to Peel and its only accessible by boat, so we’re all sailing over ⛵⛵ That also makes it one of our smaller trips so get in quick or you’ll miss out on tickets!

We’ll spend the weekend chilling on the beach, sailing, having a good time, and getting up to general shenanigans! Tickets include transport, food, sailing, evening events, camping, and good vibes.

You’ll need to bring your own:
-Warm clothes
-Clothes/togs to get wet in
-A hat
-Sleeping bag
-Sleeping bag
-FULL Waterbottle
-Bowl, fork, spoon and knife

First release – $99

Second Release – $109

Third Release – $119

Tickets do NOT include alcohol and no alcohol is available for sale on the island. If you want to drink you’ll need to bring your own alcohol over. If you do choose to drink UQ Sail encourages you to drink responsibly and takes no responsibility for your actions under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • If you haven’t already, you’ll need to do a swim assessment before you can come. Don’t stress, its not too hard, send us a message and we can fill you in on the details.
  • Because we sail to Peel, we can only run this event if the weather permits. If it is too windy for us to sail, we will head to Stradbroke Island instead!

We are taking all precautions to ensure our event is COVID Safe. We are in constant communication with UQ Sport and taking all recommendations from QLD Health. If you have travelled from interstate, experienced covid symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has, please contact the exec and do not attend the event. As part of our COVID-Safe plan we ask that you:

  • Bring your own personal equipment
  • If you have flu symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has or is suspected to have COVID-19 please notify executives and do not attend the event.
  • If you become sick after the event, you must notify executives as soon as possible.
  • In general, practice good hygiene and social distancing at all times.
